Is it the top, and after roots are established they're replanted?

Also...sorry, I"m new to this...would the Mother in Law plant,(aka; the bedroom or snake) be a better idea since off shoots appear so quickly? Especially here in Arizona.

I honestly think I'd be able to get 100 off shoots by November off of 20 or 30 starter plants? I just think it's given name isn't so awfully romantic, I'm open to suggestions, and I'll wait for an answer from ...anyone? anyone? Thanks!denise kimballhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13517617287371565890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14573299.post-57057462390335441382011-12-31T06:09:27.881-06:002011-12-31T06:09:27.881-06:00I am a beginner in gardening. I cannot wait for the baby shoot which may take a long time. I wish to plant a few more and grow them in my garden. Can you please help to answer my question?
I wish to enquire if I can plant aloe Vera using a piece of leave. I understand I can put them in a upright position in a pot of soil, as long as the bottom of the leave is dried and sealed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14573299.post-49383212751207868412009-10-23T21:12:30.939-05:002009-10-23T21:12:30.939-05:00I had cut one flower stem Aug 7, now mid October ...I had cut one flower stem Aug 7, now mid October the stem is going soft but there is a bulb forming in the centre of the leaves at the top...and little white roots are coming out of the leaves in various places. It was interesting to read they can be propagated by leaf cuttings. I cut the stem off short and planted it into soil, with some soil covering some of the leaves. Roots have started to form off the main stem.
This is one interesting plant.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14573299.post-57993003499426616972007-08-23T23:19:00.000-05:002007-08-23T23:19:00.000-05:00Kate,Glad you like the soda bottle idea.Ruth,You'r...Kate,

Glad you like the soda bottle idea.

Ruth,

You're right it is just like propagating a Sans.
