Seed Trade List

All of my posts about seed saving and starting can be found on the seed page. If you need information on starting seeds use my Google custom search engine about seeds which is populated with good sites, forums, webpages, blogs and articles from REAL gardening sources. Below is my inventory of commercial seed sources, packed for '09, '10, '11 and '12. If there is something you're interested ask me about it. An * indicates the packet is opened and may only contain enough seeds for a small seed trade. I'm looking to unload all of my Botanical Interests seed packs so holla at me. I may even do all of my Botanical Interests for SASE just to get rid of them. This list is current as of 1/12/12 and will soon be updated with my saved seed collection. These are seeds I've saved from my garden or parks and gardens.

-----------------------everything below this line is out of date-------------------------

2011-Below is a list of commercial seed packs that I need to grow out. I don't really need this much. If I'll be seeing you at the Lurie Seed Swap on Feb 12th or at the Chicago Flower & Garden Show and would like to trade some commercial seed for commercial seed, let me know. Not a whole lot of interesting seeds saved from the garden this year because I was going to concentrate on growing new stuff. But I do have some things like nodding allium, annise hyssop and a few 4 0'clocks and a smattering of poppies. Plus I have some tomatoes that I'm going to grow out for the seed bank/seed library I'm starting. If you're interested in something, just let me know and I'll see if I have enough.

All of my posts about seed saving and starting can be found on the seed page. If you need information on starting seeds use my Google custom search engine about seeds which is populated with good sites, forums, webpages, blogs and articles from REAL gardening sources.

These are the seeds I have to trade. Commercial packs that I can split up into packs with a minimum of 5 seeds. I will add more than 5 if I have them, but that is my starting point. You can make yourself a seed list using a blogger post or page to share with the group. If you prefer: go into Google Docs and start a new doc, write your seed list then "publish" your document to the web. Take your URL and shorten it so you can share it on Twitter. What you're essentially doing is creating a mini-web page. Good option for those who don't blog or want to create a list on their blog.

The #shadyswap talk was getting kind of complicated so I figured this would easiest. If you want to try something let me know and I'll bring it for you. I'll also bring some extra seeds with me. Make sure your seeds are properly labeled. "Pink flower" or "tomato" does not constitute properly labeled.

If you want to participate create a list, following the advice above, and I will link all of them from here.

Location Change:
Just wanted to make you a ware of a change to Sunday. Sheila King has said we can meet in the Press Room, located in Room 201 at the far northeast end of the show floor adjacent to Festival Halls A & B. The time is still the same, 10 am. It is WAY at the end of Navy Pier. Give yourself enough time to walk there if you are taking public transit as the walk from one of the pier to the other can take a few minutes.
