Unknown plant in neighbor's yard



Here is some plant that my neighbor has in his yard and I am very curious as to the ID of the plant.

    I should have upated this one earlier; several gardenwebers have identified it as velvet leaf. A noxious weed.

    Although one person e-mailed me with info of it once being used in baking.

    They would take the seed pods and use them to make the markings on the edge of a pie.
